Three months after launch, Civ 6 modding tools are still being worked on, say Firaxis

But didn't we know there would be a system of sales like this before they mentioned modding support?

Microtransactions were announced a few days ago. Mod support and UGC were "We'll have more information soon" on October 14th, 2016.

In the end modders could be creating content. But why can't they make cotent first and sell it? It is there product? You say it's disrespectful to do so but why?

Christ, dude, I cannot simplify it further. You have got to be fucking with me.

They are LOCKING. THE. ABILITY. TO. CREATE. YOUR. OWN. CUSTOM. ASSETS. FOR. THE. GAME. BEHIND AN ARBITRARY TIME WALL. UNTIL. THEY. CAN. SELL. ASSETS. THEMSELVES.

They are promoting the sale of simple cosmetics by refusing to let people make their fucking own.

There's nothing wrong with putting up your own shitty microtransactions, but when you tell people "YES this game will be moddable" and then sit around doing jack shit to make it so before you start selling shit, you're fucking over the consumer. They are creating a false market for something, a market that would not exist had they followed through on their promises of mod support!

I am stumbling over words here because I cannot make it simpler!
