Yes, this is exactly my point. For my business, I have spent a lot of time in European countries where tax money is spent on education, health care etc. These are called “social policies” and the people really love it. Bernie calls this “Democratic Socialism” There is NO mainstream politician in the US that is advocating government takeover of private industry. So using the strict old term of defining socialism to not allowing private property is not what any current politician is even advocating for and is nothing to be afraid of. It’s not like AOC will suddenly say that she wants government takeover of businesses... it is a false argument.
