Through 9 weeks, Michael Thomas has not yet scored as many total fantasy points as his average points per game in 2019

We expected him to produce a similar statline because:

• In his rookie year, he put up 1137/9, his lowest yardage total of his career

• His yards increased from 1137 --> 1245 --> 1405 --> 1725 over the last four years

• Very little changed for the Saints (offensively) in the offseason

• His yards/target has always been between 8.4 and 9.4 (it's 5.6 now)

• Prior to this season, he missed one game over four years

This has to be the most inexplicable fantasy bust I can remember in a while. Based on his production over the past four years, he is a generational talent... who else passes 5500 yards receiving in the first four years of his career? Literally only Michael Thomas
