Thus Begins the End

Corlys, with his small patrol of Poor Fellows heard the horn blow, and the screaming of men and the sounds of iron and blood. So they've finally come to mount our heads upon spikes. Oh joy. The Gods have truly forsaken us, and our Crystal King means to kill all of us before he rejoins his Gods. I shall sooner die, than know that this USURPER takes the Iron Throne. Corlys spat, looking back at his patrol, the 4 Poor Fellows, aptly named at that. 3 began to run at the sound of horns. The final ran at the sound steel and men. Corlys alone stood, while the crab banners advanced into the city.

Celtigar. Ardrian is like to shove a sword through my mouth before he lets me speak. Mayhaps. Only I can stop this madness before it truly begins. As they approached him, swords drawn, Corlys spoke.

"Brothers. I wield no blade, and mean no harm to you! I only wish to speak to Lord Celtigar. I only wish to stop this madness before your lives are sacrificed to kill the High Septon. This Crystal King is a fraud, usurping the very throne he swore to protect, and his reign of terror. MUST. END."

"His greed has become legendary, and I have been witness to it. He bedecks himself in jewels and robes sewn of the blood, sweat, and tears of the men of the Crownlands, and the men of Queen's Landing. He has crowned himself a King, with no rhyme or reason, with no clear succession plan. He means to usurp the Iron Throne and rule the Seven Kingdoms as one. He will send you to war, if only to reclaim the kingdoms that he believes are his. Celtigar, come forth, I have letters of proof!" Corlys proceeded to pull copies of the letters he had sent, one for each of the rebelling Kingdoms.

Corlys awaited either his response, or obligatory sword residing in his nether regions.
