TIFU by accidentally getting baptized

When I was in middle school (so like 12 years ago), I was really into Christian rock (don't hate, some of it is actually decent, and besides, I was in middle school at the time, and all my friends were into it too). So two of my friends and I went to see our favorite group at one of the local churches. Now, I grew up going to church (and still do), but this church was known for being fairly "out there" with their evangelizing (this is important for later in the story). So my friends and I are enjoying the music, and then the pastor of the church goes up on the stage and says that if anyone has something they want to pray about, then to go up to the front, kneel down in front of the stage, and do so. In my 8th-grader brain, this was the PERFECT opportunity to get nice and close to the band! I grabbed one of my friends and we went up there. I prayed that our upcoming soccer season would go well and that we'd win all the games. Then next thing I know, we are all being ushered into a back room, split into smaller groups (there were originally at least 75 people) and taken to classrooms. People who were either members of the church or worked there were asking all of us to introduce ourselves, then started in on a long spiel about Christianity and inviting Christ into our hearts blah blah blah. My friend and I just kinda stood there awkwardly. I told the leader we needed to go, but she said "it'll just be a few more minutes". A few more minutes pass. Now, this was 12-ish years ago, and I had one of those snazzy phones with "direct connect", aka a walkie-talkie feature. My dad started walkie-talkie-ing me, because he was outside to pick us up. Again, the leader said that it would just be a little longer. My dad kept beeping me, asking where we were, if everything was ok, ect. Finally, I grab my friend and just leave the room. We find our way out of the building, and connect with our abandoned friend and my dad. And let me tell you, my dad was FURIOUS. He yelled at me in front of my friends, saying we could have been sold into white slavery, and to never, EVER do something like that again. Remember, this was at a church. Anyways, churches can be wacky sometimes.
