I really think Obama was great if you compare him to the eight years prior. Sure he didn't end NSA spying and pardon Snowden, legalize drugs, completely rid the world of violence or whatever else internet justice warriors wanted him to do, but that really seems kind of politically infeasible with the crap he has had to deal with in the past decade. Our economy is doing great compared to where we where, we didn't invade any countries for oil, we started relations with Iran and Cuba, we led a global climate pact, I have healthcare that's helping me afford meds for mental health stuff I have going on which I wouldn't have otherwise (and thousands if not millions of people who are much worse off!), I could go on. We're still suffering under capitalism, but you know, some people are into that sort of thing. Obama felt the weight of responsibility and acted as a president for all Americans, something I'm just not sure our president elect does. I really hope once he gets in there he will govern for me too, but the cabinet he is appointing doesn't sit well in that regard.

Politicians piss me right the fuck off, but Obama was different man, even if he didn't fix the world. I wonder if we'll see a president like that again in our lifetimes.
