I gotta say... when I initially read the story, I wondered if this was a politic plant to drum up negativity towards Chris Christie. I'm a bit of a skeptic when it comes to info on the site at times, especially here on TIFU, and the way parts of this was worded ... "The memory gets a little fuzzy here" - gives room for error. "...mother was making cookies" draws the reader into a sense of innocence and nostalgia. Just certain things that, if this is a 17 year old writing, is pretty impressive and well thought out. And just a handful of posts since inception of the account.

Anyway, the real kick I think is here

There's no doubt in my mind that this is the exact incident. The timelines add up. A few days after new year's eve... 10 years ago... helicopter and laser pointer...

But it says . "In 10 minutes there were dozens of police cars in front of the house." How could you forget something like that? That's completely different from, the next day my mother was baking cookies and three cops show up... Granted, the ages do align...

Aside from that, it goes on to say... "Throngs of local police officers and federal investigators arrived in Mr. Banach's neighborhood on Pitman Road after hearing reports of another laser sighting. Ms. Longarzo said Mr. Banach was questioned for three hours at his house, then taken to an F.B.I. office in Newark and questioned until 4:30 a.m.

He returned home on Saturday, but federal investigators seized the laser pointer and its batteries, Ms. Longarzo said."

And this forum post was made just a few days after the incident itself...

Am I missing something? Am I looking too deep into what seems to be evidence here? Or is this something else?

Even saying "I'm upvoting you all" seems like encouragement to give this post high regard to me.
