yeah legally....even if you had called her the most foul racial epithet you could muster....when you retreated....you disengaged and were of no threat. Approaching your vehicle, obstructing you from entering....Any contact you or your husband made was justifiable so long as it was not excessive relative to her threat level. Reaching in her bag is a great way to end up shot dead. Shes lucky it wasnt my family. Myself and each of my twin daughters carry.

Since you have the police report, and her name.....you should file a complain against her and pursue charges. Your 5 year old daughters college fund might get topped off if shes not a worthless have nothing.
