TIL in 1912 4 yr-old Bobby Dunbar disappeared, was found eight months later in Mississippi with a couple that refuted that it was him. Courts ordered the boy to live with the Dunbars. 100 years later DNA verified that the boy was Bruce Anderson and had been wrongly identified by Dunbar's parents

Props to you for watching our for your child and props to your FIL for being so on the ball.

Man that's scary. My wife and I stopped allowing people to babysit my kids at their houses because my 6 yo told me that the babysitter was yelling at my 3 yo for crying too much. Her bf was a piece of trash and they had this big nasty pitbull. They were friends of my Sister in law so we thought they were okay people.

That fucked me up pretty bad and to this day I won't allow private daycares to watch my kids. I have a 3yo now (3 kids, all girls. Haha) and we searched for a long time to find her daycare that she is in now. It's a school atmosphere with many kids to play with with good ladies working there.

So hard to trust ANYONE around your kid.
