TIL in 2008, after learning that Britney Spears was going through a hard time, Eric Idle changed a lyric referencing Britney in the song “Diva’s Lament” from his musical Spamalot “because we don't laugh at sad people.”

Craigy is my top #1 late night host of all time.

Conan is a close second, but only because Conan's show format sucked and wasn't conducive to his humor. The traditional late night format where they do a monolgue and then a bunch of interviews just doesn't work for Conan.

He needs his remotes, which are fucking great 99% of the time. Conan's interviewing is... really weak. I really hope Conan just completely lets loose on HBO Max.

I would really love if Craig could get an HBO Max show too, that'd be fucking amazing.

I feel like he's the other side of Conan. He has great interviews and goes with the flow and showcases his guests' personalities. His monolgues are fantastic. But his segments are a little... fringe.

I never really believed that "neither is better, they're just different". But in this case, it really is true.

Also, I read Craig's book American on Purpose like 3 times. His book actually inspired me to start traveling and got me started on 8 years of nomad life.
