TIL After the Mexican singer Selena's death, Howard Stern mocked her music and Spanish music. He also made fun of the circumstances surrounding her murder and played her music with gunshots in the background.

This has to be one of the ultimate cowardly d--k moves I've ever heard.

Making fun of, and ridiculing a murder victim, when she couldn't possibly be there to defend herself and respond...

There really is no cleverness, artistry, in this type of humor, which all too often seems devoid of a sense of humanity. Such humor as Howard Stern is simply the recourse of a weak and disturbed mind.

The best comedians will often attack the most powerful/corrupt in our society, and will tend to avoid attacking the defenseless. Many true pioneering comedians have gone to jail, or died for taking that approach.

No comedian is perfect... but there have been many other more true comedians, who make clever, insightful, honorable comedy worthy of my attention, and worthy of my admission fee-money to see them live, and worthy of all my knee slapping laughter, followed by more serious thoughts after I leave the comedy club, contemplating the deeper, psychological, and social commentary meanings implied by the comedian.

People like George Carlin... Robin Williams... Taylor Mali... Weird Al (who makes fun of the most powerful entertainers), comedy-writers at the Onion, etc...

And still other comedians are more about the sheer beauty of comedy, utilizing language in ways that seem almost poetic, in terms of their word play, such as Mitch Hedburg (RIP), or Steven Wright.

But Howard Stern... mocking a dead female murder victim for a few cheap laughs?

Anyways, I'm sure a lot of you will disagree with me, so go ahead and pour fourth your downvotes upon me.

But all I know, is that I'm not the one who has kept this Howard-D--k-Stern on the airwaves for so long...

I've only listened to 30 minutes of his show, one time in my life, in the mid 1990's, and that was enough for me.

I hope some day his ratings tank, and he is cancelled and washed up.

To think these executives in Hollywood cancelled Stargate and Serenity, but kept funding this idiot to stay on air for so long!?
