TIL 'Amor fati' describes an attitude in which one sees everything that happens in one's life, including suffering and loss, as good or, at the very least, necessary, in that they are among the facts of one's life and existence, so they are always necessarily there whether one likes them or not.

Her homes for the dying were dirty and under equipped and it wasn't because they didn't have funding, they were terrible because she wanted it that way. She had extremely harsh views on faith and human suffering that she forced on the people who ended up under her roof. She even baptized dying non Christians without their consent.
