TIL an Italian schoolboy who was selling snacks on campus at a lower price than the cafeteria was suspended for 10 days. He also received a prestigious scholarship from an institute that said the boy's initiative should be "encouraged, not persecuted".

I used to sell Dr. Pepper for a buck each. I brought about 25 in my backpack each day and always sold out. Sometimes, even the teachers would buy from me. It was the principal who we all considered a bitch and just left out.

Each can cost like 20-25 cents each and I think a 24 pack was like 6 bucks. Anyway, in about 8 weeks I made 1000 dollars. With that 1000 I made in middle school, I went and bought a vending machine when I was in hs. It's a really nice means of generating passive income and I'm on about 3 just for the hell of it. Taxes are annoying to submit for these things, but generally you make about 1k a year each. If you buy one for 1k and place it well, you can pretty much make a return on your investment within a year, but they're a bitch to move if you get your location wrong (which is why I heavily researched where I put each machine).

Anyway, this all worked out in junior high. Fuck grade school yo, adults are such pains. I was never even given a formal or definite reason why it was wrong to. I was just led to believe it'd lead to selling drugs or some trash. Had I never done this, I'd have never had my vending machines and had a huge difficulty with paying for college.
