TIL In April 2008, Prince covered "Creep" at Coachella. This version was captured on a video and uploaded to Youtube. However, it was quickly taken down at Prince's request. After finding out about the blocking, Thom Yorke was quoted as saying: "Well, tell him to unblock it. It's our song."

I know you've been to Bonnaroo once but this is pretty consistent with the schtick that Price is famous for.

See, here's the thing: Prince is a god damn musical prodigy. Maybe the greatest musician alive. Maybe the greatest musician to be born since Frank Zappa. Sure you can give me a handful of names, but lets just put our cards on the table and stop fucking around. Prince is a phenom, and he knows it. He knows he can do whatever the fuck he wants and it just doesn't matter because... didn't you see him play guitar? Everyone can go home now. You should just be grateful to have witnessed something that great in the first place. The legend. The artist. The artist formerly known as Prince was playing a (gasp) cover???? That's how good Prince is. He takes pride in shitting on the things that you love putting himself all over it and he actually makes you question what the fuck just happened, what you just heard, and whether you liked it or not... and then he makes you feel dirty if you don't.

LOL, have you ever seen him cover While My Guitar Gently Weeps? He makes three of the most well known guitarists of a generation look like fucking amateurs.

"Ima let these niggers harmonize with my guitar but they aren't allowed to hear my voice this time," is pretty much what went through Prince's head at the exact moment that he decided Tom Petty, Jeff Lyne, and Steve Winwood were good enough to be his back ups for just one song before throwing his guitar straight up in the air as if to say, "What? This old thing?" and floating back to Prince World leaving to leave us mere mortals in the darkness and despair that is the absence of his presence.

I say this as a non-Prince fan.
