TIL that before the introduction of disposable diapers, 90% of American children were potty trained by age two

My ex wife took our Daughter to Peru (South America) at 18 months old. She was given a very hard time that she wasn’t potty trained yet.

She was potty trained in less than 3 days because they made her wear panties.

But their floors were either hardwood or tile, so the messes were easy to clean up. But it only took a few for my daughter to realize how much it sucked.

IMO Diapers should be outlawed or made to be recyclable. Unless there is a medical reason beyond pure corporate greed, which is what modern diapers are. (My son wasn’t out of diapers till 5 due to Autism, so I am happy here. Although that would have likely been 3-4 with cloth diapers and underwear)
