To take your dumb metaphor and make an actual good one: If you've been stealing bread all of your life until you became rich enough to make it yourself, are you going to blame the little kid for stealing your bread (otherwise dying of starvation). Yes we're talking about global scale, economy is the most important thing to become a relevant nation in this world and that's what this is all about, growing economies 'stealing bread' until wealthy enough to actually change thejr ways.
