TIL that Christian Atheism is a thing. Christian Atheists believe in the teachings of Christ but not that they were divinely inspired. They see Jesus as a humanitarian and philosopher rather than the son of God

Really, his teachings were spot on? REALLY?

So you agree with the doctrine of vicarious redemption? Wherein a murdering child rapist can simply decide to believe in Christ and be forgiven? If you can't see the problems with that logic, you really need to rethink how you approach problems.

Another thing, most Christians will say "the new testament got rid of the old laws" But that's not true at all, in fact if you KNOW ANYTHING about the New Testament Jesus said HIMSELF that he came not to change the old laws, that they ALL still stand, but he wanted to add a new law, love one another, which, kinda contradicts everything he literally just had said.

You're using the fallacy fallacy, just because he invoked the genetic fallacy (and I'm not 100% sure that he did) it DOES not make what he is saying a fallacy, ya dig?

You need to watch Matt Dillahunty explain why the New Testament and what Jesus brought to the table is actually infinitely MORE EVIL than what is in the old testament.

I find it sad that as an ex pastor turned Atheist I still know more about the bible to this day, 10 years later, than most practicing Christians, like do YOU guys even read the book? At all?

Oh I almost forgot the biggest thing, Hell in the old testament was not a permanent thing, if you read the original translations, the word for "hell" was actually a translation of "sleep with your fathers" aka, die and get buried. It wasn't until the new Testament that Jesus introduced us to INFINITE TORTURE AND PUNISHMENT for FINITE CRIMES.

You're LITERALLY demented and mentally ill if you think that's a good thing and cannot see how utterly insane this "christian atheism" is.

Hate to pull the no true scotsman, but it actually applies to this situation, because the vast majority of people holding this "christian atheist" position, can't even demonstrate logically why they hold it, they are just followers that are scared to use their own brain to establish a moral code, so they steal someone else's FAR inferior code and call it a day, they are just lazy.
