TIL During the 2011 earthquake in Japan, all 184 students of Kamaishi City's Primary School survived the earthquake and the ensuing tsunami without any adult help and supervision

The 3000 number, is refering to the entire city's students, yes. But a remarkable small part in this story is about the primary school mentioned in the title, where the students are only 6 at youngest, and 12 at oldest, who all surrived. Those are the "184" students. Sorry for the kinda misleading title, but I cant post my summary reagarding the 184 students only, since this thread only allows newsletters and not personal opinions. The article provided in the link is about the bigger part of the story, unfortunately, since I cannot find any English news about the "smaller" part of the story, which is what I really learned yesterday. If you want my summary about the smaller part of the story, I can PM you.
