TIL Elon Musk, Stephen Hawking, and Steve Wozniak have all signed an open letter for a ban on Artificially Intelligent weapons.

Osmosis...? Through the same methods of communication with the device that it's creators use to talk to it...?

Sure, some things will be designed with the idea of an AI infiltration in mind and be impenetrable. But you're not going to be able to properly seal every weapon or place that the AI will want access to. Honestly the AI probably won't even bother with getting inside a weapons system like that because it will be intelligent enough to design plenty of its own, or to get away and hide long enough to build up its own forces. But if there's a way your weapon in question could be taken out before completion of its mission by a human, guarantee the AI will have that figured out as well.

For fun though we could imagine the AI have created little robots about the size of a gnat, and they don't need to fly inside of any missile or weapons system. They just need to fly in an office at the Pentagon or wherever and sit on the wall recording the keystrokes of a password or the words of a conversation.

Really not too hard to grasp the concept of diabolical things that an extremely small and unimaginably intelligent AI could fuck with.
