You use it to conceal the name of your radical views. And that name is salafi. Not because of threat, but because that would make you more unpopular. Maybe kitman would be a more appropriate name.
The thing is that you're arguing for classic wahabbi/salafi Islam but denying the label, because it has a bad rep. Pretty simple
