TIL: London based study in 2018 discovered that 70% of women are bullied by "Queen Bees" in the workplace. "Queen Bees" have been characterized as women who adopt socially aggressive behaviors such as gossiping, exclusion, alienation, and stealing friends/partners due to insecurity.

They often “have such a heart for students,” but will treat each other like garbage. My department has the highest female-male teacher ratio in the entire school, and we also have a reputation with the student body and the other teachers for being exclusionary and mean.

One of the few male teachers in the department had some friends who taught other subjects that he had met before he was hired, and those bitches wouldn’t stop talking shit about how “just wasn’t adjusting well” because he chose to sit with people he actually liked at faculty meetings. I’m planning to get out, but job searching is hard when you’re not in a large city and have almost no flexibility with your start-date.
