TIL that Louis Bonaparte (Napoleon's brother) was known as and is still called The King of Rabbits because he mispronounced the Dutch phrase "I am your king" and instead said "I am your rabbit" when he took over the Netherlands in 1806.

Ok, story time, though I'm sure it might get buried since I'm late to this show.

In a hardcore mmorpg, I started a group called the SRS, or the Secret Rabbit Society, based on the premise that the rabbits were going to rise up in revenge for being killed in such large numbers, and on the idea that since rabbits were everywhere, they were the perfect spy network. I was the Grandmaster of the SRS, and all SRS members vowed to never kill a rabbit on purpose.

That was back around ~2009-2011. So this title made me laugh, and I did a search for "secret rabbit society"... and got this picture.

It gets better. I also found the following page about a secret society of rabbits inside the Wellington City Council.

I love rabbit holes like that... of course I would. I'm the grandmaster of the SRS. All you players who kill rabbits to level. We are coming for you. We see everything. You have been warned.
