you have absolutely no knowledge or insight into the mans personal life, situation or the experiences that brought him to that point. shitting on someone based solely on the information you have (which is very little) and ignoring all of the shit you don't know is ignorant and childish.
there was a time for about 6 months where i played as consistently and as much as lynx does. i had cancer and a lot of bad shit happening in my life im not going to get into. most aspects of my life had drastically changed in a negative way and i had an overwhelming feeling of lack of control, freedom and isolation.
that was in 2013 when this game came out. played it an absolute fuckton and it really helped me get through it. it took time that was otherwise miserable and made it enjoyable. and the community wasn't filled with toxic people like you pretending to be empathetic people by constantly telling people they are pathetic, their lives are worthless and that they are depressed by the knowledge that you exist. a lot more people who weren't obsessed with the lives of strangers on the internet and could actually interact like a human that can function in society without being deeply unpopular.
my life now is very good. i still play a fair but i got over the medical problems, reconnected w/ ppl, continued & finished my education, got employed blah blah blah. one thing i can tell you is the people that i can say genuinely helped me are not people like you. its the people that are willing to treat others as equals, as humans, and actually talk to them and understand them with humility. i really don't care that you want to shit on people on a video game but it rubs me the wrong way that you've deluded yourself into believing that it makes you some sort of empathetic saint.
now is this at all relevant to how lynx lives? probably not. who knows (not you, that's the point), fwiw from what lynx has actually said publicly he is more optimistic about things than he was a few years ago. so maybe what he is doing is actually good for him overall.
