TIL Martin Luther King Jr. started a pillow fight in the hotel room with other civil rights leaders in the hour before he was assassinated

I mean, I never said that he was saying the problems were blacks or whites. In fact, you're part of the problem here; you're glossing over my point, and the point he repeatedly circles back to- it is a fight of the good versus the evil of the world, and the evils of the world are black people as well as white, the police, the criminals- everyone around the people who just want to be kind and just and fair. You're the problem, because you're the type who makes it all about what colour your skin is. That's never been the problem, white skin, black skin. He encouraged pacifism, he encouraged peaceful protests- so yes, he did want them to calm the fuck down. Channel that rage into productive community betterment and self improvement to overcome the oppression of the evil, not just fucking hate all white people. In fact, in saying that the community to be supportive, to be brothers, does that not directly discourage the low-pants culture associated with thugs, beatings, violence, theft?

So... I mean, your scathing sarcasm aside, you're exactly right.
