TIL that the Old Testament says farmers should leave the edges of their fields unharvested for the poor and traveling foreigners to eat

You clearly know nothing about what you're talking about.

I'm muslim and was raised in a muslim country and had to take multiple classes growing up that included a lot of material directly from the Quran and the prophets teachings about how we're supposed to treat others as well as never spreading love and understanding, not hatred and violence. I'm frequently at the mosque listening to those speeches, in my native tongue, and am very familiar with sharia law and all that it entails. You literally don't understand what the word Jihad actually means.

Honestly based on how misinformed you are I don't know why I'm responding to anything you say when clearly you haven't considered for a second that there might be a chance you don't have the full story or truly understand the religion, you saw what awful people use as excuses for their actions and assumed that that is 100% the religion as a whole.

Did you ever consider that a religion having that many followers across the globe could possibly not actually be this cult of violence and hatred that spreads murder and destruction, and could actually teach people to do good? You're literally responding to a comment chain where someone gave a legitimate example of a teaching meant to spread love and generosity and all you can think of is the villainy you've been shown your entire life never considering the other side.

You're the reason I fear for my family whenever I walk down the street. You're the reason I worry some day I might have my rights, property and family stripped from me and you're the reason I fear for mine and my family's lives when all I wanted to do was live in a country where I have a chance to make something of myself. People like you who only see the hatred you've been shown and only see me as a threat.
