TIL the original developer of Plants vs. Zombies was fired after objecting to its sequel becoming more pay to win

And therein lies the negative of the reddit hive mind. There are those who are "in the know" and understand references on things that have been said on reddit itself (these are the people who tend to mention "meta" when responding to comments). There are those who understand the references, therefor believe EVERYONE ON REDDIT also understands the references. Then there are those who don't live on reddit and figure without signs (such as "copypasta from another post" before a message) are giving their own personal responses. I understood the copypasta nature of it myself, but I see this silliness happen all the time on here where someone responds with a copy, and then people don't understand that was what it was because there is nothing telling them it's what it was. reddit has no "green text".
