TIL that as a result of Breyers adding excessive amounts of additives in their ice cream to cut costs, Canada has determined their product no longer contains enough milk and cream to meet labeling requirements for ice cream, and must be labeled "Frozen Dairy Dessert",or "Frozen Dessert."

Corporations are set up to make money and there are two ways of doing so.

I think you might forget about one little aspect to how corporations work... the market.

For your Lamborghini of ice creams comment...Lamborghini is owned by VolksWagen. Why didn't you just say the Volkswagen of icecream? Maybe because Volkswagen is smart enough to understand that there are more than two option when it comes to running a corporation. Maybe they have moderately paid engineers and highly paid designers and low paid marketing staff because, well, Volkswagen doesn't need to remind you how you feel about a Lamborghini.

This example doesn't even include the basics of running a business like supple chain, distribution, sales etc etc... or get into complicated issues like intellectual property. Is it really better to pay your engineering staff way to much money to recreate technology or just license the IP owned my Volkswagen to be used in Lamborghini designs. This is a loaded question but in real life you don't get to be hand feed loaded questions.

How about this.... VW buys a company becuse they have IP on a turbo charger that could save them hundreds of millions. The car company is a nastalgac french company that makes cars true to the classics. The company only maes a few million iun profit a year and market research shows the demand for nostalgic French cars is saturated.

In your world your options are to either pay employees more ant the company will turn into Lamborghini. But they already own Lamborghini? Why would they compete against themselves? THAT IS STUPID.

SO here is an option. Take the fuel economy IP and integrate it into your freight engine production line and make hundreds of millions off it. Take the label you just bought and maximize profit even at the cost of destroying the label aka same label but cheap cars. Lets face it corporations are in the money business not the label business. The money you made off the label can be reinvested into Lamborghini design team. Because as a business it might be more important to not pay French engineers than it is to pay Volkswagen designers to keep making pretty Lamborghini.

So.. yeah... Im not sure if you are just ignorant or if you just wanted to make a point and simplified a statement to the point were it was basically insulting to anyone with a basic knowledge of business. Either way you are pretty much 100% wrong.
