TIL that thanks to 3D printing, NASA can basically “email” tools to astronauts

I don't know what to tell you except that i've seen them used myself during some NASA streams and they have talked quite a bit about times when they have designed parts on earth, printed them on the ISS, tested, and used them on both EVAs and around the ISS.

Here is a link to an article which talks about how they printed a gopro case which was used on an EVA a few years ago, and I don't want to go looking for links that you won't read, but I know for a fact they've used the AMF to print parts for the BEAM module and they've used the "Multi-Purpose Precision Maintenance Tool" on a couple EVAs.
