TIL there are 5 times more former vegetarians/vegans than current ones.

My metabolism is a legitimate medical condition, and not the norm. I have a resting metabolic rate (rmr) of 3500 calories a day. The test is conducted with me laying down at rest and measuring my breathing and exhalation of nitrogen, oxygen answers Co2, and testing my blood and urine. I burn that sitting on my ass doing nothing.

It is nearly impossible to reach the caloric intake I need to sustain myself when I cut out foods. I did so for 3 years and looked like a skeleton, was accused of being an anorexic, had terrible heartburn all the time that led to an eroded esophagus. The outcome of the tests were why I gave up being a vegetarian.

I am personally aware of my body needs to maintain my health as discussed with my doctors. Cutting out high fat and high protein foods is not good for me. There is no healthy diet that contains ay least 6000 calories a day, where I don't have to prep and eat food constantly that does not contain meats.

I am glad you are able to maintain your health with the diet you have chosen.
