Tim Miller will not return to direct Deadpool 2 after creative differences with Ryan Reynolds.

In all honesty that is my thinking of why I look forward more to DC movies than marvel movies (and I'm not a fan boy of either).

DC movies at least try to take risks sure they're shit but their biggest problems have been pacing and editing. And minus the martha/martha scene, i actually really like the plot and themes of the films (superman as god has always been the best depiction of superman).

Surely someone has to eventually be like hey let's just have a movie that makes sense and has an actual arc with rising action, climax and resolution rather than just cuts of music videos.

Marvel though at its core is lacking. The villains are boring, the heroes are boring (is it any wonder that the most compelling hero in the marvel universe is not even the comic book character but Robert Downey Jr playing himself?) There's nothing there - they feel like movies playing it safe (I know it's pretty unfair because the only reason it's safe is because they started it but nevertheless you can't tell me thats not how it feels now). And the only ones I've actually watched more than once are guardians of the galaxy and the winter soldier.
