Is 'time' the consequence that matter pays to space?

That’s the thing, though, I’ve heard figurative language in science before, so I figured this would be accepted. I remember hearing someone say ‘time exists so everything doesn’t happen at once.’

If you can’t understand what I mean by ‘mass pays a toll to space and the currency is time’, I’m not sure what to tell you, but I would say you’ve potentially been corrupted by an excessively analytical way of thinking that it’s a compromised your ability to comprehend an analogy.

People in the sub love to go ‘what does this even mean’, thinking it makes them look smart, and the other person look dumb, but in reality it just makes them look dumb. You can’t comprehend an analogy, how does that look on you?
