This has reminded me one of my memories from childhood. In primary school, I showed some success in general tests (math, science, language), nothing out of the ordinary or anything. But I was shown as example by teachers to other students. I think they were making a big deal out of it, maybe for making other students study more. I am not sure. One day, I was given a note by my classmates who said they found it on the door of our classroom. This note had a puzzle on it and had the words "If you are so smart, then solve this and we'll see". Almost like a threat or something. I was 8 or 9 when this happened. I also couldn't solve the problem on the note. It annoyed me so much that people hate me for no reason and target me.
