Time to fire this LameDuck Manager and get us a real manager. The Mets will be 1 game over .500 and will be 10 games under by the end of this month.

Lindor prior to his IL stint, was a lateral upgrade.

Even while struggling the dude was a clear and substantial upgrade over Rosario and Gimenez. Let's chill on the hyperbole here lol.

Believe me when I say this team has serious issues but many of these were not visible coming into the season and if you maintain otherwise, I would like for you to further elaborate.

and didn’t get the middle of the order bat for either 3B or the OF that they desperately needed.

Our outfield consisted of Conforto, Nimmo, and Dom, all three of whom were locks for the lineup unless we got Springer. The fact that Conforto and Dom underperformed is not something you can plan for. 3B should've been addressed.

Don’t even get me started on the pitching…where anybody could tell you that a 162 game season is a marathon, it’s normal to expect regression especially after a shortened season. The solution to that is to get as many arms as possible.

The Mets entered spring training with Jake, Carrasco, Stroman, Walker, Peterson with Lucchesi and Yamamoto as backups to the back-end of our rotation if necessary. They've run through so many starting pitchers that no amount of depth would've helped the team.

They just can’t be your only upgrade…especially when DeGrom’s health became increasingly questionable.

Who was available? Should the Mets have even paid the price for Berrios in hindsight? I didn't think it was a bad deal then but how much does he help the team on August 14th?

Again, don't misconstrue this as a defense of the team. I just think a lot of people are using a metric buttload of hindsight when evaluating the holes of this team.
