Republicans usually come from the upper income brackets and the idiots who have bought into the right wing conservative bs. The word socialism is used as a weapon to convince the stupid into believing it is some kind of communist plot and they will be giving up their freedoms. Having been thru the disability fight for a daughter, it's amazing how people's attitudes change towards you. Even some family members don't want to be social or stay close to avoid having to be involved. Having this as a reality is the beginning of your social isolation. It's no wonder society as a whole ignores the plight of the disabled and their families/caretakers. With all this in mind, the easy way out would be for the government to acknowledge these truths and provide what is necessary for the disabled.
