Is It Time For Grand Rapids To Rethink Its "No Trespassing" Laws? via Salon.com

How many GR business astro turfers and shills are going to be on this thread?

There are two sides to this story which no one is addressing.

First, black miscreants gather at bars and ruin them for white patrons. I've seen it happen many times in many cities. Not the black college student or worker that you know. The guy who doesn't give a shit and needs neutral ground to grind his social axe on. Happened to Top of the Rock in the 1980s, all of the bars in the old Easttown before it was gentrified, and it almost happened to the West Side which has been a white ghetto for at least 35 years. Unspoken problem which is a negative for both racists and the race-hopeful. Racists don't like this problem because they appear weak, which they are. No one is going to believe you're a hardass on your $30,000 Harley and scuffed leathers when some 21 year old felon from the ghetto runs up in your face threatening to stick your ass, and mean it.

Second, the black community still has it's age old problem of violence, which for whatever reason, it doesn't matter, is shuffled under the rug by the white community (via laws like GR's no trespassing horseshit), and flat out ostrich denial by pro-black political activists.

So that's the underlying social problem. White college students and YAs, and white Harley-type folk, want to act out their pantomine without actually being called on it.

Black patrons who want to party and have a good time are forced to deal with the underlying rot of the black community in the form of thugs, gangsters, and other people so lost in their own fantasy they're willing to stick anyone who disses them.

I suppose solve that pile of shit, maybe this law won't matter.
