Timotheé Chalamet & Emma Stone - Actors on Actors - Full Conversation

Shouldn't then the internet 'full of men' have turned on Emma Stone years ago, because she's similarly just 'a pretty girl'?

JLaws popularity seems to have taken a diver after her private nude photos were widely disseminated. She had profited from her innocent ingenue image, and arguably became a little overs saturated (kind of like Margot Robbie might be right now) appearing in some roles she wasn't so well suited to after her first few breakout teenage roles. Robbie and Larson might be the next 'big things' suggested for all and sundry productions in Hollywood like they used to name drop her. After she publicly chastised some of her most ardent fans (mostly boys and men), for naturally being curious, excited and celebrating the prospect of seeing her nude, some of the latter seem to have taken the opinion she's was a hypocrite and got too full of herself, rather than consider themselves complicit smirching her reputation or something degrading.

Maybe if instead of being angry and trying to justifying herself against such 'criticism' (which she didn't really need to do), if she had acted more distraught, played the victim a bit more than was a strong opinionated young actress, and appealed to her fans to rescue her (and many others) from be taken advantage of by lecherous creeps, a sizeable contingent might still be arguing on her behalf today, maybe 'Leave JLaw alone' style. If it had happened a few years later, one also wonders how differently the reception would have been too.

This seems pertinent with miss Stones recently publicized upcoming minor semi nude scene. The only other actress that seems immediately comparable in terms of public adulation and protectiveness is Emma Watson, who career seems to share a similar trajectory to JLaw (with early success in a blockbuster series), and who so far preserves a similarly modest 'girl next door' public image. Similar concerns might crop up with a few other young actresses, like Rachel McAdams, Natalie Portman (though she sort of tried to defuse it with SNL and more risquee roles), Mila Kunis, Amanda Seyfried, Mandy Moore and maybe a few others. The transition from teen queen to respected actress seems at least as challenging, if not more so, than child actor to actor.
