Tip: May not look the prettiest, but consider DIY Silicon Carbide to add grip where needed

I've DIY added silicon carbide to the entire grip of my competition guns in the past, but recently just added small portions to my P365. How nice it looks kind of depends on how well you mask the areas. I was looking just for functionality, to stop my support index finger from slipping forward, and providing extra traction for my support hand palm, while not adding any chafing to carry, as the section that has it is narrower than the lower grip and partially hides behind my sweatguard

Pleased with how it turned out, and taking it to the range yesterday, was a noticeable improvement. I've always found that silicon carbide is significantly grippier than stippling, as well as less time consuming and less difficult to get wrong as a DIY

As far as how to do it, super simple, all you'll need really is Rock Tumbling (Silicon Carbide) grit, and PlasticWeld by JB Weld, both which you can buy on amazon. Here I used 60/90 grit - the lower the number the rougher it is.

Simply clean the surface you need, mask off the section you want to carbide with masking tape, brush plasticweld over the section and sprinkle lots of carbide over it. Then you pat it down immediately after pouring, and sprinkle more over. After about 1hr remove the tape, and let cure overnight (or at least for 12 hours). Then you should be good to go - the first few times you handle the gun, some carbide will come off, but eventually you're left with the imbedded carbide that stays
