Also say what up, but before they even reply, follow that up by specifically saying what you like about a particular release they’ve done, most artists will at least say thank you and when they do hit them with why you’re contacting them and say you would like to work together and have some stuff you know they would be suited for and drop a link to your stuff with that.

Like if your works good too you’re already adding value to them but the point is that you did your homework and you’re being genuine and personable about why you’re contacting them and that’s always a good approach otherwise it’s like some thoughtless dude copy and pasting “check my SoundCloud bro your fire” and that’s never a good look.

People tend to buy off people they like, show them you have value with your work and but also that you’re genuinely fucking with their shit and think they would be a good fit cause you’ll get more hits.
