tips for starting blender?

Watch guides (preferably beginner ones first) and learn from them. I highly recommend starting out with grant abbitts free beginner course and then moving onto others as you see fit, the reason im recommending this one specifically is because its easy to follow, grant is a fantastic teacher and he doesn't hold your hand and gives you your own "challenges" to do based on what you learned rather than just straight up copying him all the time.

Also very important i recommend trying to make your own projects in between guides to reinforce what you've already learned, it really helps to remember things and to continue using the techniques you learned (although try to make something you feel like is realistically achieveable, similar to drawing still life seems to be a good start usually)

Aside from that its really just sticking onto it and creating something new regulary, and most importantly the process itself should after some time become fun to you and not just the end result :)
