Tips? Suggestions?

Force yourself to watch the action in turn, every hand. You'll get used to people's patterns of behavior after about 15 minutes, and will eventually pick up on something that will be +EV. You will also see exactly why everyone who isn't doing this is at a disadvantage -- players who are all loosey goosey telegraph a ton of information. You can see it when someone picks up a hand and is itching to raise. Conversely, it's really easy to tell who has already folded before it's even their turn. Of course, this doesn't apply to every player, but just give it a try next session and you'll see what I mean. Just observe each player in turn, every hand, for 30 minutes. This also gives you, yourself, a nice "routine" of behavior.
