I think you get it wrong what hes saying, the country that did the robbing was already present and was wealthy so it was not built on it and the stealing and slave business was much more like a corporation in today's standard like there are big company factories in my country but I don't drive a Mercedes and 99% of people here also not because my country does something, But the 99% builds the country BUT in the USA wich doesn't existed before had huge lands they needed cheap workers wich people were from the colonies from Africa and the country became big by their work a lot more in percentage but even tho they were a lot of them the colonists outnumbered them just by 5 fold so they built the states together and most of Europe didn't even had colonies and have thousand years of history not built by any slaves because the north was more barbaric and under developed than the south
