Tired of COVID deniers

I almost died at the beginning of the pandemic. I was taking care of someone who had had it first. I then got infected, and became bedridden for months.

Now I seem to have long-Covid; I get similar symptoms, like difficulty breathing, fatigue, etc, when I become exposed to certain “allergens.”

I’d never been allergic to anything prior to being sick. It seems like the virus shocked and reprogrammed my immune system.

It’s no joke.

Ironically, the person who infected me with the virus also denied Covid for a while, until they saw me getting really sick months after my recovery.

When I told them that the country was going to be under lockdown, they laughed and acted like I was crazy.

Not even a month later, the country we lived in was placed under lockdown. The person who was laughing at me, was sulking, because I was right.

I was flabbergasted that they cared more about being right than what was actually happening. Some people hold onto weird pride and like to think of themselves as “smarter”, instead of thinking critically.

I care more about facts and not affecting others. I’ve heard a few people bringing up the survival fittest, too. The pandemic has sort of exposed new kinds of stupidity and selfishness, in a way.
