Title 1 behavior isn’t rich school behavior

I’m trying to think of a story or two that don’t have details specific enough to be recognized.

A student had a favorite sippy cup they brought with them every day. One day at school the student dropped it and it broke. A simple accident. Nothing more.

Mom is convinced that there was a crisis/incident. She “could tell by the way the the pieces were cracked that ‘Johnny’ (changed) was upset, and had thrown his cup in anger.” She also accused employees of filing down the plastic on one of the broken pieces in an attempt to cover up what actually happened. She sends these accusations in emails to all admins.

So much for the non-recognizable details.

One more: we have an elementary student who is mostly non-verbal/uses a talker. Mom talked for days about how the students ankle was injured. We saw no evidence at school. Mom is planning on taking kid to the doctor and coincidentally the same afternoon she is planning on going, kid falls again and injures it worse (according to mom) So mom sends the kid to school in a boot. The kid took the boot off 5 times during home room day 1. The fifth time I told my coworker “let “Susie” keep it off for a moment.” And she proceeded to walk to the other side of the room without the slightest hint of limping/favoring that leg. I also found the exact boot on Amazon. The mom is always overly concerned with how “popular” kid is and if kid is making friends with the “other kids.” So I’m guessing she just did it as an attention seeking thing. Who knows. So weird.
