I heard from one old guy in bar different story, he moved from those lands and still have contact with people there. And that's what he told:
Refugees from a far land. Leaving all those two-faced tribes in the south and east, which betrayed them and didn`t want to leave them alone. But that people were Brave, close-knit and worked as one team to build a new home in a harsh northerlands. Insidious eastern Brotherhood of F gave them a safe way, but who knows what will be the price.
When they arrived to that promised land they found that lands are not only inhabited, that space belongs to other refugees. Some of them run from mysterious wormhole called by peaceful miners "eye of horror", ancients knew different name and all what we know is some letters which you can find in ruins and wrecks of destroyed ancient ships and stations. Last survivors could write "T..ra" and die (archaeologists still argue what could be 2 missing letters). Later a numerous smaller groups from different places running from terror and horror of war joined them.
Other refugees group run from far north-east. Today descendants don't remember, but in their folklore they still have a tradition clutching a roll of toilet paper with quote "Winter is COming" and they feel some indefinable thrill when they do that.
Later those groups created united local defense forces. There was nothing and no one to afraid, inland. Some travelers said there is some wild life, some wild monkeys, sometimes you might think they sentient. One galanet blogger, known as fan of ancient writer Kipling called them Banderlogs.
They kicked out a small group which could make Potential Danger in far future by littering space with trash. And Collective started settle in a no mans space (don`t count monkeys). But those wild monkeys started to act strange, some ships started to explode or disappear in space.

Brave hunters started hunting those banderlogs but wild animals acted mysteriously sentient and started to hide on local merchants station ruled by local clan of Mordus which was built by ancient civilizations and protected by Elders council known as Caaacuee Cjjhhyce Peaadsf (CCP in short cause human cant pronounce elder race language) and that station was almost invulnerable.

After couple days when united pest control teams return again after having head-on collision with ships which had Bees on their banners, to finish with clearing some areas, they suddenly found a groups who TESTed cosplay of ancient sect called Greenpeace (department DIVA) which protected wild animals.
Several times within 7 hours wild banderlogs crowds surrounded them and tried to bite their hunting and pest control teams. But even being "outnumbered" they could deal cause this is just a wild animals, even though they sometimes seem to act sentient

That is fairy tale what I heard, but it is better to trust that news, cause who would believe that monkeys can act sentient.
