Today, the President of France said he’s going to force through a raise of the retirement age without a vote. Tonight, Paris looks like this.

"French are cowards who surrender immediately"

Well, ironically, I think that's exactly what they are doing here by refusing to face the fact that this is necessary if they don't axe their pension system completely.

I only see rage and upset people but no one is actually offering a viable solution to the problem. Retirement at age 62 just doesn't work. Other countries have already raised the retirement age, Germany raised it to 67. And if you axe the pension system in its current form you open a way bigger can of worms because: how the fuck are you gonna finance getting out of it? One way or another someone is getting screwed hard.

I understand this is unpopular in France and maybe rightly so but it's not Macron's job to please everyone. That's quite literally impossible.
