so in other words, she wasn't a Renter. she had no entitlement to the lease, and no ability to claim residence, and NO ownership of anything in the house, and no obligations to any of the monthly upkeep. with as little as a piece of mail for a personal service bill (her cellphone), she was able to prevent the cops from removing her from the house, and force me to go through an eviction process to get her out of my house.

Its not. all they have to do is claim that they have paid something towards utilities or rents and they are afforded the same tenant protections as a licensee; and the tenant/landlord have the burden of proving that the person in question has paid no obligations towards the property before that person can be removed from the property, and of course this all needs to be done in court as the cops are neither a judge nor jury, and have no ability to impart judgement of right or wrong in this. However anyone found barring entry to a home in this situation is commiting a wrongful eviction crime.
so yea. in virginia, i could crash at your hosue, and then say to the cops when they try to make me leave "i live here, i pay him xxx for bills here" and they cant do anything to me, and You would then have to go before a judge to file for an immediate eviction and provide proof that i don't pay anything to the upkeep or rents, or else you better be ready to have a pain in your ass in your house for the next X amount of months.

nah there's nothing unlawful about telling an abusive leech EX to gtfo your house and to never come back, and there is certainly no need to rationalize it either; as everything i did was completely rational. i had an abuser of three avenues, Mental physical and substance, and i told her to get the hell out.
