Today's Tiny Problem - June 23, 2019

I'm so sorry. This sucks. I guess the common guidance (which is good guidance) is usually that this is 1) an SO problem, and 2) leave the mess until they clean it. 2) never worked for me because I couldn't stand the mess and would just do it anyway! I went to some extreme measures to get 1) to work - since both of us work outside the home I wrote up a price list - I did give myself some chores that were "free" because I want to contribute (sounds like you are more than willing to do this too), but everything else, especially things that were just people cleaning up after themselves, and not household chores had a price - I didn't care whether SO or the kids did the items, but SO was the one who had to pay if they didn't get done ('cause the source of it isn't the kids so I held SO responsible).
