Tofu at home help

Here's a very easy way to make tofu. There are lots of others.

Get extra firm tofu. (You don't have to press it.) Cut it into approximately half inch slabs. Cut those in half. Heat an oven or large toaster oven to about 450 f. Put the tofu pieces on a baking tray that you've drizzled with olive oil. On the tofu, put: tamari (or soy sauce), garlic powder, red hot sauce, black pepper, and whatever other spices you prefer. Bake for about 20 minutes, then flip the tofu. Bake until done, which will probably take another 20 minutes or so.

The high heat and cooking time will make the tofu chewy. The sauces and spices will make it tasty. You can vary this any way you'd like to fit your preferences. The time, spices, and amounts of everything, can be altered. It's a very forgiving recipe.
