Tokyo Questions post. *ALL QUESTIONS GO HERE*

Hello. I'm visiting Tokyo from the states and my main concern is travelling while fat. I'm fat, overweight, obese, plump... etc etc.

example body type photo That's not me but a good representation of my size.

I'm asking because I'm fortunate enough to travel to Japan from the New York in August and experience as much of it as I can. I have bought two seats on all plane journeys and am prepared to stand so as to not inconvenience others.

I want to try a Willer Express overnight bus (Cocoon, Luxia, business and relax WIDE only), have already bought a JR pass (do I need green car?) and I'm curious about local metro and train barrier gates and seat sizes.

I know my size will be an inconvenience and offensive to others, I know people will stare and will whisper behind my back and even to my face and some might not want to sit next to me but that won't bother me. Not being able to fit through things will. I'm trying my best to figure out the best and least offensive way to travel. I'm trying to be considerate. I guess the most considerate thing I could do would be stay at home but nahhhhh :-) , I love life NOW and people and want to experience as much of it as I can. Realised late that life is short and I want to make the most of it.

Also I really want to experience a Manga Cafe. I have looked at you tube videos to see sizing plus visited websites to see cubical dimensions. Its's not an issue for me, I know I'll be comfortable but will it be an issue for the cafe owners? Will they refuse service based on size? Will I fit in the shower? My oral Japanese skills are basic while my written are non existent.

*Oh and yes 280 lbs is a lot of weight a lot! I'm classed as morbidly obese. Months ago I was lot heavier! I'm losing weight, I've changed my diet, I'm exercising and have lost a substantial amount already. A treat to myself was a trip to Japan, my next incentive is a trip to Russia :-).
