Tolarian Academy has resorted to speaking in words Hasbro will understand

I absolutely love it when someone brings up shareholders when the dissection of corporate profits come up. Simply put, I doubt many here understand Hasbro’s Balance sheet or even what their last earnings report stated/listened to the earnings call. As a shareholder myself, yes, short term profits can boost confidence but long term growth is much more important. But honestly, if anyone thinks WOTC has shareholders they just simply don’t understand the bigger picture. For example: Q2 showed Hasbro had about 984.5 million in profits, only half of that was from franchised brands (where you will find WOTC in a list of others like Playdoh.) They showed only a 12% increase with much more growth in emerging brands. Franchised brands only make up about half their profits. With the bigger picture in mind, as a shareholder I honestly could care less what arena does in the short term. The earnings per share will move based on larger expansions and brands that make more than WOTC. To me it’s like people complaining about short sighted decisions EA makes with their ultimate team revenue in the new UFC game. Compared to other much larger moves it won’t mean much. I don’t think people understand how big Hasbro is when they focus on WOTC as a market mover for them.

Even more simply, if it was such an issue that affected profits , you’d think they would fix their website by now? Nope, don’t need to, it would be a drop in the bucket.
